Repair

The most common issue with the older Tascam 4 tracks would be rubber deterioration. Over time the belts, pinch roller and idler tires will turn into sticky goo. There are of course other electrical components that can go bad (motors, pots, caps), and it is common for the record/playback amps to drift out of spec over time.
